What is it?
The Pupil Premium is funding allocated to schools for the specific purpose of boosting the attainment of pupils from low-income families. Funding is based on children who have registered for a free school meal at any point in the last 6 years, or have parent who works in the Forces or a child that has been in care for more than six months.
During 2014 - 2015, the school has chosen to spend this money on providing support for children to ensure that all children achieve their potential.
This has been through:
- The appointment of two HLTAs to provide targeted support for children in class.
- Booster classes for Year 3 children in Phonics and Year 6 children in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Supporting children's emotional health and wellbeing through our customised learning package.
