Our most important responsibility to is to ensure that the children in our care are safe. Every adult in the school cares passionately about this and we work closely together to ensure that every child’s needs are catered for and that any worries or concerns are addressed as a matter of urgency.
The Designated Safeguarding lead is Head Teacher, Mrs Henson. Supporting her are: Mrs. Webb as Deputy Head Teacher and Mrs Leybourne, Emotional Health and Wellbeing Manager. In the first instance, please contact Mrs Leybourne at school if you have any worries or concerns.
Please find below a copy of our Safeguarding and Child-Protection policy for further information.
As part of the ongoing work on Child Sexual Exploitation in Derbyshire, the local authority’s Improvement and Scrutiny People Committee wants to understand people’s awareness and understanding of child sexual exploitation. Residents – as well as organisations that help safeguard children – are being encouraged to contribute by taking part in a short survey.
